Blackheath Junior School

Dear all,
I am looking for a school for my daughter - She will start Reception next year September. We atttended Blackheath Junior’s open day and we loved it. My husband and I felt its really warm and friendly environment for little girls. My daughter also enjoyed and liked the school. She liked the building, especially the rainbow hall:) I also had chance to speak current students parents - they were all happy with the school. Current students made a show with instruments and sang a song which was lovely but I dont know anyone who attends to school as we are new to this area. So I want to ask here if anyone know this school?
Unfortunately my daughter had to start nursery when she was 6 months old (I am working full time) and we had to change 3 nurseries since that time and I really do not want to do that in her primary school. I want her to be happy and enjoy her school life.

my daughter started Blackheath Junior this year September and she looooves it. She used to like her previous school but I never seen her that happy. school is really warm and welcome. she goes to netball, coding, spanish and chess club. also she takes violin 1;1 instrument lesson. she always want to stay for the after school care or clubs. Really recommend, GO FOR IT! x

I am a Blackheath High School parent as well. My daughter and also her friends are all happy with the school. It is really nurturing environment for little girls. I also made some good friends. We all know each others names and meet outside the school. I can not ask for more. I am sure your daughter also will be happy in Blackheath. Wish you all the best with the decision.

Blackheath High is excellent school. So, if you, your husband and daughter liked it when you visit the school then its right place for your daughter.

It is great school with lots of communication. I love all GDST schools for young girls.

My friends daughters goes to Blackheath High. Both so happy. One of them was in year 6 last year and she tried 11+ for other indie schools and had place but she didnt want to change and stayed in senior side. Blackheath senior has really nice new building. And junior side is so warm. But because school has its senior school they do not prepare for 11+. So if you would like to go to grammar or other indie school in city etc go for prep school but it is definitely less stressful to go to all through school like Blackheath High.
