Which 13+ schools girls/coed don't do a pretest

Dd is in year 5. She's not liking school at all. Thinking of going back to my home country with her and coming back to current school in year 7 (or maybe 6?) and putting her in for 13+

Some schools still sit a test in year 6 for year 9 start though so that wouldn't really work well.
Are more schools doing this now? Are there still those that are not already or planning to make the dc sit tests in year 6 for year 9 entry?

Not sure where you live but the main ones in London who don't do a pretest are the ones whose main entry point is 11+. They will often take a few at 13+ if have spaces but will be tricky to rely on this. Quite a lot of movement in London schools at most years- possibly less in other parts of the country.
Could you move her now to an all through school?

Rightly or wrongly, I have the impression that more boys’ schools do 13+ entry than girls’ schools.

Increasingly they seem to offer deferred 13+ based on tests in year 6/7. However there may be a way of taking them overseas as many are now online. If you planned to return for year 9 entry what would be your plan for sitting a 13+ test in year 8, if offered. Would it not make sense to look at 11+ instead if she is unhappy?
