Anyone familiar with St. Wilfred's School, Featherstone?

I know that it is a Roman Catholic school and have looked at its website - anyone got any informed opinions about the place? I'm thinking of applying for a job.

Hello Donk. I used to work in a neighbouring secondary school. I don't know a huge amount about St Wilfs but think that it is one of the better ones in the area. It's has Language college status and that's about all I know I'm afraid!! If you don't get any more replies I'll get in touch with former colleagues and see what they say! What subject are you? Are you in the area at the moment? (nosy here!!!)

Science - living in Leeds and doing supply work until I can find a job - preferably part-time.
Which school are you in? I have a day booked at Featherstone TC tomorrow.

I'm now over Huddersfield way but used to be between Ponte/Wakefield/Barnsley - without naming the school you can prob work it out
Why not have a look round to see if you like the place? I'm sure it's ok and it certainly didn't have a reputation for being one of the tougher schools.

Ah! That was the one 'next door' that we despised because it had no uniform and you didn't have to go to lessons! (Mind you I was a bit inconsistent because I didn't think that students should have to go to lessons if they didn't want to, teenagers, don't you love 'em!)
Mine was HHS (in those days, now HACC I believe)
