St Andrews Woking or Halstead

Hi
We are looking to move to Woking Surrey from Kent over the coming months. We have a two year old and another on the way, so we are trying to decide on schooling before committing to a house so that we are in a convenient location. I have not viewed either of the school, only what I have seen online which seems great for both.

If anyone has feedback or experiences that would be greatly appreciated!!

Both schools have a good reputation locally. Halstead is traditionally viewed as a little more old fashioned and slightly more pushy. St Andrew’s appears to be a good caring all rounder. Horsell is a wonderful place to live and would be convenient for both.

St. Andrews has been brilliant for my kids. (I only have boys so am afraid I never looked at Halstead.) St Andrews has a strong caring, community feel and the teaching we’ve experienced has been top notch, getting the best out of my (very different) children. Great facilities too.

My dds went to Halstead and loved it there. The new head is fantastic and brought a more modern ethos to the school. Halstead provided a wonderful, fun, nurturing, happy environment, allowing my dds to flourish both academically and they both left believing there was no ceiling to what they could achieve.
