Good morning,
Can you please give some advice about Camberley's primary schools. Most topics about seem out of date.
Moving to the area around Camberley Rugby Football Club.

Looking for academic state school or ideally CofE primary school but I understand there is only Catholic around.

I'm very mobile, can drive the child if it's decent distance.

We will be doing in year admission as moving to the area. What is the process if somebody has done it please.

Will be grateful for advice on schools. Thank you.

What year group?
There's a big primary just up the road, but afraid my knowledge is out of date.
CofE there aren't any so you'd be looking St Augustine's in Frimley, for which you'd need to ask them what their current vacancies are like, used to be very difficult to get into and always had a waiting list, plus the qualifying criteria would need to be met.
Academic primary schools... Depends on the year group as there's still a lot of split infant and junior schools in Camberley.
As far as in year applications are concerned, contact Surrey County Council admissions, make sure you fill in the correct forms and they should identify a place within 10 days. Be aware that they may not have vacancies in any of the school you prefer, but you have right of appeal and can go on waiting lists. Applications are done online and you should receive acknowledgement of your application.
The other thing is that if they offer you somewhere you don't like then they have found a place for your child, so think carefully before rejecting it, especially if you don't plan to home school or go private.
If your child has an EHCP then the process is different.
