ds aged 14, is in year 10. His gcse maths exam is split into 3 parts. He did part 1 in November last year and has just had the result. He gained an A* and got 100% marks!! He worked really hard and i'm so proud of his effort. Only 4 in his year achieved this result and i'm so chuffed and proud!!

Having said that, i'm proud of all my children whether they achieve academically or not. dd1 had a rough time starting school and all i want for any of my dc is to be happy. dd2 just started reception and is taking a lot of settling in, i'm proud of her becaused she goes into school now without tears

An A* at 14 is scarily good - you must be so delighted!

I'm over the moon. I'm shocked they do the gcse exam this way now though tbh. he only started the course in september and had the first part of the exam in November!
