I am working at a school where the environment has gradually worsened to the extent that we lurch from one dramatic episode to another. Morale is low and although complaints are never about me I am getting tired of it. I am in the SLT so I am party to more information than most. I just want to come to school and teach without getting dragged into the heads office to watch her have a meltdown. I have decided to leave this toxicity as it is causing issues with my mental health but appreciate I will need to take a pay cut. What do I say in an interview to justify this backward step without looking unprofessional and moaning about my school?

There is a board on education for teaching staff called "The staffroom" I'd ask for your post to be moved to that?
