East Kent - girls schools?

Looking for advice on secondary school options for DD who is going into year 6. We are moving to east kent during the next year, DD currently at a prep school in another county. (She’s staying there till end of yr 6)
have registered DD for the 11+/kent test but also considering moving her to another indie.

ideally looking at all girls schooling.

Would welcome thoughts on the Canterbury or Ashford girls grammar schools.

Also independents in Canterbury - or further afield if all girls as I don’t think there are any independent single sex schools in the area we’re moving to? DD seems keen to try weekly boarding, and we would be happy to look as far as west kent, possibly East Sussex, for the right school.
thanks in advance

Folkestone School For Girls is a grammar school but I don’t know what it’s like as my DD didn’t go there sorry.
Might be worth checking out?

Bear in mind for Kent Grammars most require just a pass but then have oversubscription criteria based on a variety of criteria such as Parish or distance., if your child is staying in the prep until end of Y6 unless you are in your new address by first week of December you would be classed as out of county and unless it was an unpopular Grammar might struggle to qualify.. I know some West Kent grammars have score requirements or have some spaces for out of county applicants but those usually require mega high scores. - not so familiar with East Kent.

So do check the admissions criteria of each grammar as they often different. The elevenplusexams forum can also be helpful
