choosing a tutor for my Grand daughters 11 +

Hi everyone
My grand daughter is taking her 11 + on 18/9. The results from her CAT seem to be good:
Verbal 112
non verbal 111
maths 110+
Reading 119
I would like to boost her chances of passing by providing a private tutor for her. I don't live in the same area as my daughter. I live in Bromley and she lives in Newington near Sittingbourne. It's a nice village but my daughter feels very cut off so she's moving with her partner and all the children to Maidstone on 11/7. I was wondering if anyone lives in that area and has knowledge of the schools there? I'm also wondering if anyone could recommend a good tutor in that area and how much I could expect to pay?
Thanks for your help.

Julia

I recommend atom learning. Either instead of or as well as an actual tutor. Even in the one week free trial you can get a good idea of where the strengths and weaknesses are, and critically, where she is relative to the rest of her cohort. We did it last year (it was £60 per month and we did 4 months) and it meant that DD had a huge choice of schools (everything we applied for).

My friend lives in Kent and went to Dartford Grammar - he did very well academically (though this is going back a few years now!). He's got a daughter who'll be sitting the 11+ in 2023 and they've found an excellent tutor online for her. Let me know if you want their details - i think they pay about £40 an hour
