Daily mail article but it seems like our new social mobility tsar may not like the idea of the disadvantaged overly progressing. I agree with all successes being applauded but there seems to be a subtext of the working class not necessarily aiming above their station ...

I think she has been misrepresented. Her school has an extremely good record of sending children to high ranking universities. She was saying not all children are academic and we should also encourage and celebrate the achievements of those who are not.

I think so too. The news headlines scream something completely different to what she has said.
I agree with her that all successes however small must be celebrated.
