Yes I know I was late, for the first time today I was late to collect my child from school, she finishes at 3.10 I arrived at 3.13 as I was leaving (classroom door I collected her from is around the corner from school office) my phone rang it was school office ringing to tell me I'm late ? Do you think this is a little quick to ring me ? Or is it me ?

A lot of children are in after school club, some children leave in groups with child minders etc as the junior school is separate and 5 min walk up the street, at 3.10 the teacher opens door and they do seem to go pretty quick. The nursery isn't in school this week so I'm wondering if they let them out early

My DCs school gives you 10 minutes, although part of that might be because almost every class dismisses from a separate door and parents of more than one child can't be in two places at once.

It’s quick yes - but I don’t think it’s anything to complain about, late is late.
They may find that phoning at 5 or 10 minutes has led to parents feeling they have a grace period?
I don’t see why you had a problem going to the school office after. You’re a grown woman, who unusually was 3 mins late - why would they care?
