Please Help I’m Going Mad - Maintained Nurseries & 30 Hours Free Childcare

Can anybody help? I’m driving myself absolutely potty going around in circles on this and nobody seems to be able to answer me.
If my DD gets a place with the school nursery for 15 hours a week do I use part of my entitlement for 30 hours free childcare for this or is it separate?
She’ll be going to nursery 2.5 days and her minders 2.5 days while I work so I’m wondering if I can use it to fund the minder or I hand to use it for school nursery?
I’m so confused 😐

The minder.

Yes you can split it across providers, I use a Preschool and a nursery and split the hours on the form

My granddaughter went to nursery 15 hours and the childminder 15 hours with the 30 hours free. So I think you will be able to do that too. The nursery charged a meal time charge when she was there the full day.

I don’t think there is a separate (extra?) entitlement (for nursery) if that’s what you mean? You get 30 hours during term time and can use it however you wish so long as your childcare meets the criteria.

You can split it so long as both providers know what you are doing. I use 20 hours (2 days) with childminder and 9 hours (3 morning sessions) with a pre-school.

My sons is split between pre school and a private nursery.

Maintained (or 'free') nurseries use the same funding, so you can presumably use 15 hours at each in your scenario. Our school nursery gave us a form to full in about what hours we were doing where.
