cutekids · 11/01/2008 16:14

Any number that is a multiple of 5 will finish with 5 or 0, so 1028 isn't, but 24575 is iyswim.

cutekids · 11/01/2008 16:21

ahhh...right so what about multiples of 10,
100,2...?
so sorry....i'm completely confused again.

OP posts:
PandaG · 11/01/2008 16:23

all multiples of 10 end in 0, as any number multiplied by 10 is the numer with a 0 on the end

1 x 10 = 10
3 x 10 = 30
362 x 10 = 3620

does that help?

gladbag · 11/01/2008 16:23

All multiples of 10 end in 0 (if you think about the 10x table) so 13470 is a multiple of 10, and 5.

gladbag · 11/01/2008 16:23

pandaG, crossed posts

fireflytoo · 11/01/2008 16:24

10 20 30 etc

multiples of.... usually means that number multiplied any other number (Effectively the times tables)

2 : 2 4 6 8
3 : 3 6 9 12 etc
10 : 10 20 30 etc

cutekids · 11/01/2008 16:32

so presumably a multiple of 100 would have to end with a 00?
i'm trying to get it...honest!
Thanks for all your help so far.
