Fun things to do with numbers?

DS is 6 and in year 2. Loves numbers. Quite bright but no maths prodigy.

Does anyone know of any good websites with games or activities which will keep him busy?

It goes against the grain for me to buy those worksheet books, and surely there must be some more interesting things out there?

can't help with websites but when dsis was that age my Mum used to get her to add all the numbers in car registrations on parked cars together as they were walking down the road eg T533 XXX - 5+3+3 = ?

Thank you for anwering

He'll do this sort of stuff. And will do series of doubling numbers and things like that.

Does it sound to awful to say I'm really after stuff he can do without me?

In mitigation, he is slightly obsessed, and dd is not quite as keen as he...

"Does it sound to awful to say I'm really after stuff he can do without me?"

Sounds a lot like my parenting style

try googling online number games for children or numeracy games for children. There are loads of sites that DS uses sometimes but as I don't sit there with him I can't remember what they are called!

(like you, I'm of the school of finding stuff they can do without my supervision!)
