RGS Prep, Guildford - opinions please!

Would be very grateful for opinions on RGS Prep. We are thinking of relocating and sending DS1 to shell there, and DS2 when he’s old enough. DS1 is very bright but quite sensitive and reserved - more of a thinker and observer than a boisterous boy and takes a while to warm up to new environments. We went to view the school - loved the school and the boys seemed very happy…but the new headmaster is a bit of a question mark. Could easily give him the benefit of the doubt because he’s finding his feet but would be so grateful for up-to-date opinions on whether the new head has been good, and whether the school is nurturing enough/non-hothouse for a boy that fits my DS’s description. Thank you!

Until recently the school was called Lanesborough so you might get more feedback with a title change.
You ds sounds a good fit for any prep in the area. Have you looked at Feltonfleet and St George's weybridge too if you are that side of Guildford?

Thanks for your response. We’ve looked at St George’s but the weybridge traffic is horrendous - I know Guildford can be gridlock too, hence why we’d look to move. Due to my job, we could easily move to Guildford area but not to weybridge. We’re currently north ascot area and on a good run it’s fine but not at rush hour.
