Heads reference for independent senior schools

If my dc ends up spending year 6 in a different school to a previous one, will senior schools request a reference from school 1 and school 2 or just school 2?

Presumably that will vary by school. And may be affected by the reason your child moves in year 6 and whether the senior school wants to know more about that.

It seems disruptive to move a child for year 6 and then again for year 7. Are you moving home?

I imagine, NewIdeasToday, that the OP’s child will stay at the new school until the end of yr 8.

OP we had exactly the same issue! I really wish I could remember what happened - I think we used both reports, but it was years ago.
