Merchant Taylors school Liverpool

Anybody have any independent reports on the school. I am thinking of sending my Children there.? I would really welcome any comments and thoughts.

Had two brothers go there. One hated it and went back to local comp and the other got on well (not sure if he enjoyed school though!). My brothers had scholarships, hope am not being rude to say you might fit in better there if you are posh!

It depends very much on the child and the support they have at home. Some of the children do well and and I know of at least 2 that have left (Merchant for girls) because of the constant pressure to achieve.

As with most public schools there will be extra work, and very high expectations of pupils to perform.

FWIW I have a mix of friends, some are 'posh' lol and some are not oh - the shame .

As charliegal says, the scholarships are worth looking into.

I think what you will find is that parents who have children there will rave about it and those that don't and have made a choice not to send them for whatever reason, will critisize.
