Peer massage in school - anyone's DCs do it and what do they think?

DS2's Yr 1 class are about to start doing peer massage, and it seems quite a lot of schools are doing this. Just wondered if anyone had any experience of it and what sort of results it has?

some info sounds horrific to me - but I hate people touching me unless I am very very close to them. All the playing with hair when you sat on the mat listening to stories at school, turned me cold at the time and still does to think about it.

DD did it in Y1 and really enjoyed it - was a positive experience for her (and subsequently me as she is now not a bad masseuse.)

My DS's class did this at school last year. Not my DS though he refused, so I told them he did not have to do it.

Which peers do they massage? I'll have Baroness Warsi if anyone is offering.

Well, that was a thread-killer....

blimey, she looks as if she would walk up and down your back in stilettos in the name of 'massage'.

I guess that's the attraction

On the whole idea of peer massage i can only imagine it working with very limited groups actually; I know alot of kids wouldn't feel comfortable with this.
