Child benefit and foundation year

My daughter is planning on doing a full time UAL Foundation Diploma Level 3 in Art and Design. She'll be at home. She'll be 18 when the course starts .

Will we still be able to claim child benefit ? I can't work it out from the info on the government website

No, you can't get CB when they are at uni, CB stops in the August after they finish their schooling. You should get a letter from them before this explaining it all.

Yes you can it’s the level not the location that determines CB. You can claim CB for her until the day before her 20th birthday.

Approved education or training can include GCSEs, A/AS levels, national diplomas and NVQs up to level 3
