Private School for DD

Hi

My daughter has been on the waitlist for Yr 1 for Wimbeldon High. Any idea if the occasional waitlist actually converts into a seat or do we have to reapply each year?
Also, what other schools can I consider for her? My D is academically inclined and not much into sports ( god knows we have tried so many things) .. Still trying to figure out the education system here and see if it’s better to go private route .. Any thoughts

I'd suggest asking Mumsnet to change the title of your thread, as it gives no clue as to the geographical region you're asking about.

" Still trying to figure out the education system here and see if it’s better to go private route"

for primary - no point if you have good State schools near by

Can you really be “academically inclined” or really into sports at aged 4/5?
Does that matter? Really.

If you have a good State Primary available to you then there is probably no need for Private school
Also, she’s 5/6 don’t label her now as academic and not sporty. She will probably change a lot over the next couple of years.
My DS wasn’t sporty until he discovered a couple of sports he really loved aged 10 and now plays one at County level
