My son has been invited on a school trip for 2 nights, the cost is £170, is this expensive for 2 nights in a student hostel?

Transport
Accommodation
Activities
Food
Staff costs

Seems about right

Sounds cheap compared to trips I've heard of.

What does it include/where is the trip to?

Sounds right - my daughter is doing a 2 night trip to play netball and it's £220.

Are they going by coach?

CarrieBlue · 15/02/2022 14:25

Massive chunk will be transport.

Nikki037297 · 15/02/2022 15:36

They are going into the country side to play games and activities by coach. Just 3 years ago it was £120 for 5 nights and it was a different location but still a country side hostel

Are they travelling further away? The majority of the cost will be the coach unfortunately

Sirzy · 15/02/2022 15:40

Costs of everything have gone up.

I assume the activities they are doing aren’t free.

Coaches will cost a lot more because of the fuel prices.
