Does anyone have their DD boarding at LRGS Sixth Form? Can you please share how she (and you) are finding the experience? We live overseas and are considering our DD going to LRGS this September. Just wanting to know what it is like boarding at this all boys school that only very recently are admitting girls to have a mixed sixth form.
Our DD enjoys sports (swimming, athletics and tennis)- are the girls able to participate fully in sports like the boys are? She wants to study sciences and math for A-level but would enjoy a school that also has opportunities for students to participate in Arts (visual arts) and languages (French) through extracurricular activities, clubs etc....
We selected LRGS because it is known to be good for boarding and for their excellent pastoral care, teaching and academic results and the fact that they are big on sports. We are just wondering if the Sixth Form having fewer girls than boys makes the sixth form experience not as enriching for girls- particularly for girls who have to board full time?
We would appreciate any insights (sorry for the long post!)......
