I'm currently a nanny looking after a 15month old boy 5 days a week at their house but i take the child out to playgroups and park most of the day and come back when my times up. Ofsted will come to see me soon i want to know what to expect on my pre reg 1st visit what kind of question's they will ask me? also when Ofsted do visit to the child's home will they inspect the house and check hazard's also as its not all that clean i mean its messy as the the mother has 5 children and a cat that doesn't go out at all as they live in a flat and the house smells like cat urine and all sorts im just worried the smell will hit her when she comes in and the mess ,its not in my contract to tidy up the house ,well should i when ofsted comes?

You'll need a folder, OP showing a fire escape route in the event of a fire, plus a list of any regular medications that a child in your care takes, the contact details of the family GP they are registered with, who to contact in case of emergency if you can't get hold of the employers and a list of any allergies eg plasters, milk, penicillin.

Some families make you sign a document confirming rules of limiting the number of children on a trampoline at one time and the like.

Hopefully you have this information from when you signed your contract.

You may want to ask @MNHQ to move this to the childcare section where @Blondeshavemorefun and @Nannynick can also advise.
