The Acorn School, Nailsworth

I am looking for some personal experiences with The Acorn School. How is it for middle school children and upper school? We have home educated my child until now and he is asking to go to school and this is the nearest holistic school available. Another one is Wotton School in Gloucester. But it's lil far for us.
Any help would be appreciated.

I visited as part of a piece of research on alternative education. I think the early morning physical activity is great and the absence of exams an interesting philosophy. However, if you read the end of year projects they do in place of a levels, you’ll see many of them are barely literate. I know owners son locally and he does struggle through life, so not exactly a role model for the outcomes of the school. Not one I would recommend, sorry.

Interesting, thank you so much. I was so impressed with how calm the children were and unstressed. I have a bright child but a very stressed one with OCD and am v local, looking for an environment that is slow paced and calm but also stimulates and challenges. Any recommendations much appreciated.
