Essex - Nurturing secondary

DD is currently in Year 3 and we are starting to think about secondary options. She has dyslexia and ADHD both of which she copes with admirably day to day. Shes currently at a very small prep which she's very happy at but it does somewhat shelter her from the outside world. I'd really appreciate people's recommendations for secondaries that might suit her. I'd like somewhere reasonably academic but that would help support her in a positive way. She's bright and quite sporty but does also struggle with friendships. We're open to state or private and are looking to move in any case in the next 12-18 months anyway so are reasonably flexible on location provided I can be in the City in just over an hour door to door.

Hi @BeOne my DD’s old prep school head used to recommend Newhall school in chelmsford (an Indie) for pupils with SEN. Maybe take a visit there and see if you like it? I’m sure others will be along to maybe provide state recommendations too.
