just that really...

Maybe not officially but it’s certainly a trend that I have noticed.
I suppose it depends on the length of time between inspections too.

Fenelladepompom · 11/10/2021 17:52

It used to, in theory, but Ofsted are all over the place at the moment (metaphorically).

MrsMoastyToasty · 11/10/2021 17:53

It didn't seem to at DS school. The went from a permanent headteacher, an interim head, and finally a permanent headteacher in the last 2 years.

icklekid · 11/10/2021 17:56

No - school near us hasn’t been inspected since 2007 and had more than one new head since then!

CommanderBurnham · 11/10/2021 17:59

No. Our head left after Ofsted (it retained Outstanding), we've not been inspected since - 7 years ago.

MrPickles73 · 12/10/2021 23:17

No. Ours left after 2 terms and new one turned up a term later no sniff of ofsted.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 12/10/2021 23:29

No. Our latest HT has been in post 5 years + and no inspection during that time.

toomuchlaundry · 12/10/2021 23:34

Ofsted have a huge backlog at the moment, so doubt this would trigger an inspection

Kite22 · 12/10/2021 23:36

No

AlexaShutUp · 12/10/2021 23:37

I'm a school governor, and we have had 2 changes of head since our last ofsted inspection. Not expecting a visit any time soon either!

soapboxqueen · 12/10/2021 23:38

No.

My dad's school was last inspected in 2007, interim 2010. Nothing since.

There've been three heads in that time.

Jaxx · 13/10/2021 10:26

My son is in Y11 and there have been two changes of head, but no inspection since he has been at the school.

DecentPleasant · 15/10/2021 10:12

I’m interested too. DC at Parmiter’s. Head leaving in Spring. Not inspected for many years.

Shadedog · 15/10/2021 10:15

Dcs school inspected in 2012. Two changes of head and a change to an academy and no re-inspection.

CommanderBurnham · 15/10/2021 19:00

However, an inspection more often will lead to change of headteacher!
