Recommendations for 13+ day schools

We are in the last stretch of applying to 13+ schools and so far have applied mainly to the boarding schools. DS' cat score came in at 134 so the school suggested we look at a few London day schools as well. I am not keen on the pushy, super-academic top 3 day schools and have so far applied to:
Dulwich College
Sevenoaks

Location is not a constraint. We are keen to find a school that suits an academic boy, but not too pushy. Somewhere that creates happy, liberal boys. There should be at least 3-4 teams for football as well!

Any schools in and around London we can look at?

Thanks!

Ah sorry, just realised Queen Elizabeth Boys is bot an option as you're looking at 13+

Which schools did you wind up applying for in the end ?

St John's in North London are huge on football. The Arsenal (and I believe Watford) academies use their fields and they have many boys from the academies at the school. They are also very focused on academic achievements. I know many kids there and they are all very happy

I mean which independent day schools did the original poster apply for in the end ? The deadlines have now passed so I'm curious !

Ah we just applied to
Dulwich
Sevenoaks 13+
Trinity

Trinity was a completely new choice but heard such good things from everyone. Thanks for all the suggestions!
