Hello, we are looking at independent schools around Dorking for our DD for 2023 entry...looking at Reigate Grammar, Freemans...anyone have any good/bad experiences? Are there any other good ones we should be considering?

Secondly, how is it best to prepare for the entrance exams to these schools in particular?

Thanks so much for any help!!!!

Both very "pushy" ime. St Johns in LH might be worth a look and the Guildford girls schools.

That's interesting - I had heard that RGS could be but I hadn't realised that about Freemen's also. Is that from personal experience?
Others have talked about Dunottar as being a bit more relaxed but can be too much the other way I have heard?
I would rather avoid just girls I think if possible...x

Epsom college?

Agree Freeman's and Reigate are pushy. Even though Dunottar was a girls school until 6/7 years ago it now seems to push the boys agenda more than girls. New Head there seems to be marmite
Old Head from Dunottar is at St John's and seems to tick your boxes.
