Hello, I am looking to relocate to Aberdeen and was wondering if anyone can recommend the best area to find outstanding primary school. I am not finding it easy using google search and would appreciate any local knowledge of primary schools in Aberdeen, preferably Aberdeen city council. Thanks

Hi OP you might better asking Mumsnet to move this over to Scotsnet.
There are a few posters on there from Aberdeen

No primary school, children of my own, but Airyhall has a good reputation as a primary , however you would also want to look at which secondary you are feeding in to, unless you are moving again or plan to move to independent schools.

Hello there,

We live close to Mile End and have friends and colleagues children who attend the school. It's very well rated.

As others have suggested, if you get this moved to the Scotsnet topic you might get more of a response from people who know the city (just report your own post and explain you'd like it moved).

It might be easier for you to work back from the best secondary schools and look at which are the catchment primaries.

I know Aberdeen Grammar has a good reputation but I don't know enough about the city to know about its feeder primaries.

Old Machar academy in Bridge of Don is really good, bridge of Don academy as well. The best primary's that lead to them are Danstone primary, Brea Head primary and Scotstown primary. I went to BoD academy in the 90's and several family & friends kids have attended/attending now at these schools & the feed back was/is good.
