Might have posted this in the wrong thread earlier... just wondering if anyone knows what happened to the old headmaster. He seems to have suddenly gone and been replaced by a stand in. Asking for a girlfriend who is thinking of sending DC there. Thanks 😊

Last week the Governor’s accepted Magnus’ resignation after he spent time reflecting over the summer. I’m sure everyone appreciates how challenging the last 18 months have been for everyone, especially teachers.
Will Goldsmith has stepped in as Acting Head, supported by a strong and established leadership team while the Governor’s commence the search for a new permanent Head.
I feel confident that Bedales is in good hands and thoroughly recommend you consider it.

Gosh, thanks for the info. It must have been really bad for him to just resign and go without giving the normal notice period. It's very rare for a head just to abandon ship. Its been bad for all schools, but I haven't heard of many heads simply leaving.

However, I do understand people have to do what's right for themselves and he must have strong reasons. Give there's a strong leadership team to help the realities new stand in, im sure continuity and the day to day stuff wont be an issue. Thanks for posting I'll pass the info on to my mate. X
