Moving house

Hi we are due to move house early next year and need to change the girls schools.
If we find the perfect school that had places and apply, can the school hold the place for us for 4 months ish until we move house once we’ve got an application in? Thanks

Private school probably would if you slapped down a deposit.

State school wouldn’t. They can’t hold open places, you could change your mind, in the meantime another child might need the place immediately and be denied it. State schools will expect a place to be taken up and the child enrolled and attending within a week or two at the most.
