Currently doing an OU course, but sent off for the ICS brochure just out of interest.

Course in there I fancy doing after the OU - just wondered how good ICS were for support/materials etc.

TIA

Hi Slinky

I've just started an ICS course (Introduction to Computer Programming). I'm doing it out of pure interest but I'm sure that it will be useful at work.

I've only recently started the first module but so far I have been satisfied with the course material. There is a student website where you can chat with other students and they provide resources for additional support.

I think the courses are probably more suited to self motivated people. As I already have a degree and PhD, I'm use to motivating myself to study and no doubt you will not have any problems either. The problem I have is fitting it in with my duties to twin babies, husband, part-time work, running a home, losing weight, getting fit, reading a new book every month as well as learning German. I guess that is part of the challenge.

If you decide to do a course, good luck
