North West London Pre-prep

We are looking for a school for our son, aged 4, and including Mill Hill School, Aldenham, Habs, Highgate, UCS, and local prep schools (Manor Lodge, Edge Grove, Radlett Prep, Goodwyn).
We want to send him to a school that stretches children of all sporting and academic abilities and also has a sibling policy.
All very confusing- we’d appreciate the thoughts of parents with kids at any of these schools.
Thank you x

That's a real mix of schools. Prep schools mean sitting 11+ or 13+ further down the line.

Of the "through-schools" Habs, Highgate and UCS are far more academically rigorous than Aldenham and Mill Hill (Grimsdale). Mill Hill is great for sport. I assume the sibling is a brother. I suggest you call the admissions depts and find out more about the ethos of the different schools. Some are starting to run tours again.

Manor Lodge had a new HT a couple of years ago and she has made a lot of good changes to the school. I can’t speak highly enough of UCS senior school. I think getting him into the pre-prep of a school where he can go right the way through makes sense.
