Hi,
Does anyone have any knowledge of secondary schools on the Isle of Man? Are the schools comparable to each other or are some much ‘better’ than others?
How do they compare to UK schools?

The schools are comparable to the U.K. schools, if not slightly better. My experience is somewhat out of date, but my niece and nephew are at Castle Rushen (in the South) and it’s good. My understanding is that QE2 is also considered a better school too. I don’t know the Ramsey school at all and I suspect the Douglas schools have a slightly worse reputation, but it would be unfair for me to comment too much - I think they would all compare favourably with U.K. schools.

Hi, I live on the Isle of Man. I think all the secondary schools are pretty much comparable, although Ramsey Grammar is probably the best state school. I've heard good things about QE2 in Peel as well. There's an independent school in the south called King William's College which is a baccalaureate school and is highly regarded.
