I imagine wealthy parents,and a prestigious school wanted to stifle and suppress any bad press and/or legal case that adversely affects the brand or the alleged perpetrator

For what it’s worth, my friend works at Highgate School and staff have been told that the NDA and allegations of silencing are incorrect.
