Prep schools near NLCS

We are moving to Edgware/Harrow area and our DD1 luckily got offer from NLCS. However, for our DD2 who is currently studying Year 5 (moving to Year 6 in Sep2021), we are thinking of how to settle her in prep school in nearby area. We would like to learn about experience and views from other parents about any recommended independent prep school or all through school for DD2. She is academic and average on sport/music. It looks Year 6 vacancies are not too easily found. Thanks

Hi,
Yes year 6 can be difficult to get into but if you call round a good bunch, I'm sure at least one will have a place.
Try :
Radlett Prep
Manor Lodge
Edgegrove
St Hilda's in Bushey
Holland House which gets results so since it will only be 1 year then you can forego all the facilities you might get somewhere else.

Otherwise for all through , try St Margarets Bushey which is really lovely
Or Belmont which is part of Mill Hill

Thanks very much, afewtoomanychoices. We take note and will search around based on your suggestion. Thanks !

Agree with all the above recommendations. Holland House certainly gets the results at 11+ but they start preparing them from very early on,. From my understanding, they will have pretty much finished by the time she starts in Sept as most of the work is done in Y5.

St Margarets is a lovely all through and very likely to accommodate if they have vacancies, not as academic as NLCS though but fantastic facilities.

Orley Farm in Harrow is another prep to consider that is very good
