How do you know if your child is/maybe dyslexic opposed to just a slower learner. DS is 7 in 2 months and still struggles to read and write. He is in year 2 and does have an IEP for learning in literacy and numeracy. He writes some letters and numbers backwards and somtimes reads words backwards. He has just learn't to write his name with the letters all correct.
At his first parents evening in year one his teacher said he like a different child when he talks compared to when he writes. He is very bright, imaginative and has a very good vocabulary. He just can't transfer it onto paper. x
