I would like to know everyone's opinions on Marlborough. My DD is keen on the school but would be grateful for some insight. Positive and negative! It'd be good to know everything about it.

I have just posted on another thread and have posted before about my DD’s experience at Marlborough. She joined in 6th form and had an amazing experience. It won’t suit all DC. Your DD will need to be resilient and confident to cope there. But the opportunities academically are amazing and the social life for 6th formers (pre COVID) was also brilliant. We looked at loads of place and it was the only school that ticked all our boxes. And it exceeded all expectations. PM me if you want to know more. My DD has now left but we still have friends with DC there.

Agree with dancingdreamer that it isn’t for everyone, but I think Marlborough admissions do a good job of selecting people who will fit, and by that I don’t mean there’s one type - it caters for all: academic, arty, sporty, musical, as most schools do, but I do think it’s particularly good for confident & sociable types.

My DD has gone all the way through at Marlborough and has had the most amazing time. She’s dreading leaving as she just loves it so much. How many people can say that about their school?

Communication from school couldn’t be better- I honestly couldn’t fault them for a single thing. If it’s the right fit, your DD couldn’t do better.
