When will we know GCSE results etc?

There seems to be a lot of unknowns still for gcse students - mini exams/ tests what will they look like and when will they be and moreover, changing the results dates from the currently planned late August.
We're trying to think about summer plans and in addition to covid we have the not knowing when results will be.

Does anyone know when confirmation of this will come?

Even last year we still received the results on the same day in August. I can’t see why it would be different this year. (I have both A level and GCSE year children).

Date not confirmed but July has been mentioned.
Probably to allow time for appeals. We haven't been told anything at school as yet.

There are various rumours at the moment. Some end of July. One today said 12 August. Supposedly brought forward due to changes. Who knows. Maybe this weeks announcement will tell us. It’d be nice if those of us working in schools could plan our lives too.

Hopefully we will be told soon. Rumours currently are July for both GCSE and A level, but with potentially University decisions still not being made until August to allow for any appeals and grades to be set; or potentially both being in July.

The long awaited report as to how grades should be determined should cover this too. We must be close, we were told towards the end of February so that would mean this week.

Apparently we hear on Thursday what OFQUAL has decided.

12 August for gcse results
