Hi

I'm looking to do my level 3 childcare later this year and heard today I need to do Maths and English functional skills level 2 either before or along side it.

If anyone has done this, could you send me in the right direction of a good course provider? I've briefly looked online and I think I'm looking at £1000 for the two courses?

How long will they take to do? How many hours a week?

Thanks in advance!

Are you sure you can't do these for free? Through a local college for example? They are entry level courses and often free.
I did maths free as failed my maths o level many moons ago....

Contact your local adult education, these courses should be free.

If you have no gcse passes in English and Maths they should be free. Ask your local fe college if you can do them by distance learning or if there is an adult ed provider.

Oh wow really?! I'll don't really think about adult courses at colleges. I'll get in touch with them tomorrow, thanks all!

I have a friend who needed their maths functional skills, and they said that the pass functional skills website was really useful, with lots of free learning resources
