I would avoid Habs at all costs especially the prep school, senior school is slightly better. If your son will have any difficulties during the study with learning, behaviour or he is just simply odd one out, they will not support you, blame you for everything and will ask you to find other school and move. They don’t have recourses to support a child with special educational needs for example (they have one person which comes for 2 hours ones a week and covers both senior and prep school, which is obviously not enough). The way of teaching is very old style and pastoral care is horrible. This school is not about well being of children, this is about money and business.

Thanks for your feedback. Is this based on your personal experience with the school ?

Yes, about 7 years of personal experience

I know a couple of children who are thriving there and whose parents would paint a far more positive view of the school. Do try to get a range of feedback from current parents

Really glad to know that . Thank you so much @LondonMummer

Sorry to hear you experience @Schoolbusiness. it’s very hard when the child is not happy in a school

I really do not recognise the school that @Schoolbusiness describes. I’m not saying it’s not their experience of Habs, but from my personal experience I find it a wonderful school, very supportive and my son is incredibly happy there. He is steadfastly in the middle - academically and sports wise and does not feel pressure but only supported in everything he chooses to do. He started at the senior school so can’t comment on the junior school.

Also, I personally feel it’s more geared towards academic than sports. And so many other co-curricular opportunities.

Good luck in finding the right school for your child.
