leaving Steiner Waldorf education

I've only just joined MN and now I'm hooked!Is there anyone who have moved their children from Steiner school to mainstream like us? Do you feel as if you,ve left a sort of cult? I've been joining in some other dicussions on Waldorf- and most people seem to agree with us that there are alot of bonkers ideas - Anthroposophy being the main bug bear I have because they're so secretive, and I reckon the schools rely on the fact that 90% of the parents don't have a clue about it, when it's the main thrust of the schools core.
Would love to hear from anyone else who has moved on?

Oh yes- Eva- you're absoloutely right- it was donot who quoted the letter, from the link that you gave.

Why have you reignited this thread - that I started ages ago?

You could post links to your sites here couldn't you?

You could find all the Steiner threads and do that couldn't you?

Why don't you stick to the thread you origionally came in on- and talk about the children described as demons because they have learning difficulties?

diana said "flowery superficial praise" yes i agree - the problem we have as parents is that the people who get us to put our children into a steiner school are the type who either don't know any better themselves (i.e they too have been fooled) OR the type who are rock-solid anthros and have NOTHING, but praise.

I thought it was Eva who was posting here because he was in a hissy on the other one- he said there was too much rubbish on it or something....
