Wondering if anyone has suggestions on where is the best areas to live for attending Orley Farm School.

Looking to move before the start of term.

As Orley Farm is an Independent school, you can live wherever you want. Entrance is by academic assessment, no interest is taken in whereabouts you live. I suggest no longer than a 20min car drive really, so Harrow, Pinner, Wembley

Thanks.

Just wondering during the peak school dropoffs and pickups whether a normal 20 min drive would become a 40 minute drive.

Not sure such a long drive would be healthy for a child so young every weekday.

My children went to Orley Farm. We initially lived 10 minutes away when they were younger. That was great as they didn’t start until 8.25am and finished between 3pm-3.20pm (depending on the year group). When they were in year 5 and 3, we moved 20 minutes away and that was really hard as they started school at 8.10am, so we needed to leave at 7.35am every morning. Also they didn’t finish school until 4.15pm, so most days we didn’t get home until 4.45pm-5pm-ish, depending on traffic!!!

Thanks Shamkrak,

That is very useful.

In your experience what would be 10mins and 20mins away?

Since I’m not in the area, I’m not sure, and I don’t want to rely on Google maps which may not be accurate given school traffic during drop offs and pick ups.

That’s fine.

I would say, any part of Harrow, Pinner, Hatch end or Wembley would be fine.
