Does anyone have any children or know of people whose children attend the following schools please?:

St Johns C of E (Shirley)
St Andrews RC primary school (Streatham Common)
St Thomas Becket RC primary school (Woodside)
Regina Coeli RC primary school (South Croydon)
St Elpheges RC primary school (Wallington)
Park Hill primary school (South Croydon)

Unfortunately we could not visit any prior to our application for obvious reasons but I would still like to find out as much as possible :-)

All 3 of the Croydon schools you won’t get in unless you live fairly locally. That is a very wide search area you have. You won’t want to travel any sort of distance either - especially at peak times for those schools. I would consider something more local even if not a church school.

Thanks for you message @Lovelydovey. Funny enough St Johns and St Andrews do not consider distance at all, its only based on church commitment. We live in Central Croydon and are planning to move at the end of the year so we have flexibility re location. We have a some chance with St Thomas Becket and Regina Coeli based on their criteria and tbh after that we would be looking at private options anyway.

Do you happen to know any of the school?

@mindovermatter2020 Just wondering if you have managed to get any insight on your question. In the same boat here.
Many thanks Smile

@youareloved2021 I have spoken to afew parents at St Johns who say it is a brilliant school with a greta community feeling . Re the rest, I have not had much feedback on those. How about yourself?

@mindovermatter2020 I haven't gone looking around much as we still have some time before we make a decision.. From my understanding, they are all well-reputed and have good performance ratings, some slightly better than the others. We have been considering St Thomas Beckett and Regina Coeli ourselves, because of the proximity to our home.
