Hi, My daughter had been offered a place in St Margaret’s Bushey which is a school we fell in love with, but obviously comes at quite a high fee. We’re in catchment for Wren Academy Finchley which had a good reputation, but I would love to hear advise as really struggling to turn down the offer from St M. I have had quite a bad experience with state primary, well my child was very demotivated and couldn’t care less and it all changed when I moved her to an independent prep school which had done magic to her. She’s also mildly dyslexic with a Ed Phsyc report and as far as I understand she wouldn’t really qualify for any help in state school as she’s mediocre and would be doing ok on her own in school with some help from a tutor couple of times a week. I guess my main reservation is all around education and how different are the secondary Non selwctive independents from secondary state. The non selective prep and state primary are miles away so is that the same in secondary?
