Hoping you can help me ...

I am about to start helping a woman better her English (she is English but left school at 14 - wants to better herself)

I have got her a study book that we will go through together and I can help her with any "holes" in her understanding

Is there anything I should be doing on top of the book? Are there any resources (free) that I can use to help her?

What would your plan be - to leave "homework" and re-cover the book work once she has done it alone, or just work on the book together and take it slow?

What about www.bbc.co.uk/skillswise/? Says it's "A site for adults who want to improve their basic skills in reading, writing and maths"
