Hello,

Any parents with children at, or who have recently left, Parkside School Cobham?

Really interested to know what kind of experience you have had there.

Thanks

Hi I am also interested in peoples experience for my DS. Additionally I would like to know if it is a safe feeder for Reed’s? Heard it was in the past but not so much lately...

I have personal experience of the school - PM me and I can give you an honest first hand view.

Hi there - am also interested to know. We wish to send our DS to a school to get ready for Reeds.

Ripley Court now owned by Reeds, a safer feeder. Hoe Bridge also worth a look. I would not consider Parkside at all

Pulled son out of Parkside after 18months. Not an academic school. New head has joined since then so may have changed.

My son was signed up to start having done pre school there but we too had to pull. Communication poor, and no drive. They confuse happiness and nurturing with no direction when you can have both. The reception this year has a bad intake. To be fair, I think the new headmistress is open to feedback and trying to turn things around. However we noticed the difference in standards and calibre of teaching staff straight off when we switched mid term to Shrewsbury Pre Prep.

My son is there - I can’t speak highly enough of it. There are lots of threads saying it’s not academic … I guess it depends what you’re aiming for … lots of boys head to RGS, others to Reeds, St John’s and Epsom or KEW and Cranmore. Apparently there used to be more that went to boarding school, like Charterhouse, but that seems less popular now.

Really good all-round education. I can’t say what it was like a few years ago as we moved last year but I’ve been really impressed with the teaching and extra curricular.
