Urgent help needed! Prep school PE kit loops?

Our son is starting prep school this Wednesday. His PE kit is to have loops sewn in it. Can someone send me a photo of what this looks like please?

Is it to hang them up? So you just need a strip of elastic or ribbon, form it into a loop and sew the two ends on.

I’ve never heard of this on our prep — sounds like what PP said? I’m sure if he didn’t have it the first day so you can ask that would be fine.

Yes it’s loops to hang them up - ribbon or cotton twill tape if you can find it. I sew in easy to see places - waistband on bottoms and neck for tops.
Either run back and forth a few times on machine or hand but nice and strong.

I use name tapes as loops on school uniform.
Just sew the name tape on only at each end and voila, a name tape and a loop.

Yep I've done it with name tapes too but he might need proper loops if he's boarding. Maybe check with the school. If you need them and don't have the time or the inclination to do it yourself, check your local FB groups, as there are usually ladies who will do stuff like this for you for a smallish fee!

Our prep school had a drying room hence the need to hang up towels. It was used after the kids showered every day post sports. It’s best to sew a ribbon on the long side of a towel in the middle so it doesn’t hang down on the floor when hung up (if that makes sense). Best to use a sewing machine for durability but you can hand sew. It will be used a lot so hand sewing would need to be pretty robust. Hth
