Multi Academy Trust recruitment question

The MAT has around 20 schools in total.
It's currently advertising for 4 headteachers. The 4 schools are very close proximity to each other.
3 of the headteachers have been in post under 2 years, 1 is very long-standing.
It's possible 2 could have been appointed on an Acting basis.

Obviously there's nothing I can do (I do have a child due to start at one) but would this indicate all possibly not great with the MAT? Or is this quite normal/could it be as simple as coincidental timing?

In normal times it wouldn't be a great sign but with covid, headteachers have been treated appallingly by the government and are under intolerable stress so many are considering quitting and this may have contributed to their decision to leave.

I guess you could see if they are taking up headships elsewhere outside the trust.

Could be either, hard to tell.

It may also be that one or more of the schools has recently come under the MAT and the changes are stirring the pot.

If 2 are acting, then they must advertise the post, it may well be that the acting heads are then appointed

Thank you

I'm not a fan of this MAT so it's good to get outside views.

1 school has recently joined the MAT, the other 3 have been in it a long while.

The 2 which I think might be acting heads, have a start date of April which I guess would tie-in with formalities of advertising post. The other 2 are for September. It's possible the long-standing head is of retirement age.
