DD making friends

My dd wants to go to boarding school next year and we’re currently in the middle east, she is a very sociable child and has never had issues making friends but is worried about it since it may be different talking to people in the UK and middle east. She usually gets on better with boys but again worries it may be different there. Any advice?

How old is she? Can you contact the school and find out the ethnic mix and whether they have other boarders from overseas? Maybe also they have a buddy scheme to help joiners settle? Is she sporty or musical or into drama as these are often good ways to make friends?

Tbh it would be weird if she didn't have any anxiety about going to a boarding school in another country. I think you need to keep boosting her confidence and get her as much information as you can about the school to help her prepare herself mentally.
